The injectors are hooked to battery + ( 12 Volt) and the ECU will hook them to ground to fire them off.. the Switching Transistors in the ECU are protected from overcurent by the resistance of the Injector.. if your Injector ( one or a few ) have started to age toward the lower resistance, more current will be drawn through the Switching Transistor Circuits, and Board Traces.. If the Injector goes to Dead Short, it will Blow the Transistor doing no damage to the Circuit Board.. if it starts ohming toward 6 to 8 Ohm, it will draw a LOT of power, and burn the traces.. but ( apparently ) not enough to blow the transistor, and save your board..
Think the injectors should be 13 - 15 OHM.. Check the book..
